I am looking out my front window at the most hilarious sight. For the last 2 hours, the phone company has had 2 trucks in front of my house, with 4 workers. They have set up 4 cute, yellow umbrellas and 2 lawn chairs. I'm not kidding - this is totally true!!!!!

I went out to ask them what the problem was. They said there was a phone line that had been causing trouble and they needed to dig it up.

From where I stand, it looks like there are 2 supervisors, one man to dig and one man to move the dirt away. After 2 hours, they have managed to dig out enough of this loose, sandy soil to make a hole about 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet deep. There is a lot of discussion and head scratching going on, but not much digging.

Oh, this is TOO ridiculous! I can't help laughing out loud. I'm going to work soon. I wonder if they will still be here later when I return?
